With the veins and the empty eyes, I'm trying to show rage as something that makes your blood run hot and shuts down our capacity for rational thought for a while. Rage can make people feel rightous in acts of violence and can let them give themselves permission to do terrible things, so the expression I chose for the mouth is a smirk rather than a grimace or a snarl.

the veins say rage, but the lips look relaxed. but i like your interpretation of the assignment.
i would have changed the lips and made some teeth or his lips turned up like hes pissed off or something.
