Package Design
Sweet Peas by Hannaford: the type on this is left justified, which looks a bit odd considering the typeface used and size difference. It also has a stroke and minor drop shadow which do not enhance the design at all, but in fact take away from the possibility of a clean, simple design. The image of the peas is not completely clear, however; there is another image collaged around the right side when you turn the can that looks better, but again, you have to turn the can to see it which is not good for the initial impression of the product. The logo could stand to be smaller as it looks as if it is competing with the “Sweet Peas”, and the bad image. Also, when you turn the can, you realize the band at the top is transparent allowing the image to show through some. I think this makes the product look a bit weak versus a product with the label’s band 100% solid looks cleaner and stronger
