Poco Dolce gourmet chocolates

Just a simple box, but the clean design and strong colors give it an outstanding shelf presence. The package looks rich and expensive even though it's probably relatively cheap to make.

Tsp Spices

This is a simple but elegant and gorgeous package. I can't tell if the inside box is wood or cardboard, but I love the combination of tin and dark colors. Gotta love reusable tins.

Fastachi nuts

This reminds me of Danielle's salsa box. I love the natural materials. I would probably keep this package when the product was gone. You can tell by looking at the package that this is a quality product.

Purple chip bag

Over all I find this product design over used but the coloring is very unique. The product is made out of unfriendly recyclable materials, which is unappealing about this product. This container will only be discarded after it is purchased, because there is no use for it afterwards I think the company should use recyclable material that is not so harmful to the environment. I also like that the label has 2 duties, to inform the consumer about the product draws the attention of the consumers as they walk past this section in the store.

Herb's

Over all I find this product design unpractical. The product is made out of unfriendly recyclable materials, which is unappealing about this product. This container will only be discarded after it is purchased, because of the giant hole in the middle of the tin. I like the idea of using a tin can because it is different and makes the consumer believe that it is a good product. I also like that the label has 2 duties, to inform the consumer about the product and to secure the actual product. Unfortunately I think the box is unpractical and needs be rethought out.

love the different language, but besides that the golden yellow color consistency throughout the layout is great.

Rapid viz - week 7

Package Design - week 7

Hair dye.
The reason why I picked this package design is because I do not think it is an effective one. The drawing and the designs on it are well elaborated, I do like the way they flow on a squared box, and the colors contrast each other. The box itself is very simple and basic; it is how it should be for a hair dye, because it has to have the space for all the necessary item to dye a hair. Te problem in my opinion is the illustration of what it seams to be a little girl; I do not think it is an appealing label for a mature woman, the one that would actually buy the dye. The label is appealing for a little girl and I would not want a little girl to dye her hair. It could be a lipstick box perhaps.

Rapid Viz

Rocky Bridges is the name of a local artist. I actually met him when I worked at a museum in Lakeland, but I never thought about his name until I saw it printed in a newspaper!

Syrup

Overall when it came to this bottle I found it effective, funny and truly an original design. Every time that I think of syrup my mind always pictures this bottle of syrup. It contains the product, and since the bottle is made out of plastic it also protects it as well. I just think the label needs a little work. All the syrup bottles tried to stay in the same shades that would blend in with the syrup color. So I think that if this company used a bright blue or green some where on the label it would help extract it from the others.
