LAYOUT DESIGN
Sorry but I forgot to put a title on the last 3 post. The truck toon, the mushroom heads, and the sultry lady for glamor shots

LAYOUT DESIGN
I like this layout mostly because of the image and how the message follows with the picture. Although I find that there is a lot of fine print at the bottom and it seems to me that it takes away from the picture. I think that there could be a better way to lay the fine print out with out it being a crammed up at the bottom.
LAYOUT DESIGN
I think that with this layout there could be just a few changes. No, this isn’t a really interesting layout but it is a layout that a lot of companies use. What I would change is where inside the graph on the last bar the numbers are in the bar I would keep everything consistent and not leave one thing looking different if there isn’t anything that follows it.
LAYOUT DESIGN
Well I like this layout a lot because it gets straight to the point about what makes up America. The only thing that I would suggest is that I would like to see the images of the baseball and the food a little smaller so that all the images would look more centered. Because right now it looks as though the images are shifted to the right more.
Many companies have gone to this new shaped water bottle. It has so many benifits to it. It is good that more companies are becoming recycling conscious and are trying to promote recycling more and more. I also think that the new shape gives the bottle a slender look, which is probably appealing to people as well. After all if you are drinking water you are probably at least a little health conscious and this shape puts that idea in your head.

Package Design
Dove Conditioner has an interesting shaped bottle. It’s very aero – dynamic making it unique on the shelf and easy to recognize among the other brands in the environment. Dove uses very bold or bright colors, and although most other brands also use these types of colors, Dove’s bottles still stand out. The logo is extremely easy to see and read and again, easily recognizable as theirs. They have an extremely simple design on all of their bottles, with just the logo and minimal information on the front to make it easier to see and also to give it a cleaner look. I also like the fact that the opening is at the bottom because it makes it so much easier to get the shampoo out of the bottle when it is near empty. The only problem I see is the mild gradient from left to right behind the “therapy conditioner…” section; this makes the information a bit harder to read and I think that the overall design of the product would look even better without it.
Package Design
Tilteist golf balls; here we have an interesting variance among the other products from this same brand and the others on the shelf beside it. As one can see, those from the same brand are all similar and the designs of the packages are consistent with slightly different colors depending on the style or the specific golf balls’ purpose. The package I chose stood out for me because it is mostly white with a beautiful shade of metallic blue. Comparing it to the others beside, above, and below it, it seemed to me to have the simplest design of all and the most eye catching as well. The brand logo is obviously very prominent in the design and has a great hierarchy over the rest of the information on the package. I think this package is very effective in simplicity and sophistication

Package Design Week 6
This was designed by a company called Aspen Packaging and Media, a company known for designing unique packages for various products. This package design was conceived by Kupper Parker Communications in St. Louis, but brought to life by Aspen Packaging and Media. This box holds a mouse cable, solid chocolate mouse and a business reply card. The box is actually two triangular wedges hinged by a common panel. The clever graphic adaptation was the creation of Kupper Parker Communications. This company designs packages for any and every type of business; from healthcare to retail. If you bring them your product, they will design you a packaging solution.
Package Design Week 5
Here, I wanted to look at the idea of package redesign. While Herbal Essences already had a great package design, their newly designed products are much catchier. Their bright colors catch the eye and the strange shape of the bottles cause the viewer to take a second glance. I also love their logo redesign with the swirls; so simple, yet so effective. I think with their new products, Herbal Essences was attempting to reach a younger demographic. I personally, am more attracted to the redesign because it looks more hip and cool rather than the older packaging. I love how they kept the idea of being able to see through the bottle in both the new and old packaging. This seems to be a trademark of this company.
Package Design Week 4
I was looking through the Mountain Dew website and stumbled across bottles just like this. Being that Mountain Dew bottles are so easily recognized, this is a nice change of an old product, though I’ve never seen something like this on the shelves. I don’t know if the point is to collect them, but something like this would make me assume the company is sponsoring something and they’re using this label to catch your eye so you are enticed to buy a product you’ve known for so long. I feel like this type of packaging would be very effective for maybe a breast cancer “For the Cure” type fundraiser. They could design water bottles or something women are likely to drink on a regular basis, slap the phrase, “Drink for the Cure” and so many women would be enticed to buy the new product.
