Love Dice
I chose these objects because they are 3D and I have to stare at them almost every day. They were a gift for me on Valentines Day, and I was like thanks, but I have nothing to do with them! So they are sitting on my bookshelf. This is another thing that you can play with for maybe a few minutes and then get bored, like with one of my previous posts. I thought of hanging them from my rear view mirror in my car, but they are too big and I might get pulled over. These are just a pointless invention made by someone trying to be cute. Each side has a different "suggestion," and only one suggestion is negative instead of positive. They seem like they should belong to a matching corny board game. I say leave the fuzzy love toys to the "adult" shops.
4th week. The magic Lion- M. Aparicio
This Lion is made of Paper mache. It comes from china and it represents luck and fortune. Lions in China are idol and are located in the front gate of many Chinese houses. In these days it is also use as a decorative object. Many contemporary artists are using the Chinese lion as an object of design. In the art galleries you can find them with very colorful designs that are different from the traditional one that use to be red or white or yellow.
3rd week - The colorfull lizard- M. Aparicio
This Lizard comes from southafrica. It is made of wire and covered by beads. It is flexible, colorfull and very light. It is a deisgn object despite its craftmanship. It looks stylish and trendy. In South africa lizards represent fertility and luck and is an obligated object in every house. They sell them in the markets and goes from very small to really big sizes.
In this particular case, The combination of colors and the size itself permit to highlighted the qualities of the object. I admire its simplicity.

2nd Week - The reader
The angels , -those mysterious figures that for many people exists but for others are only part of the imagination- have been a decorative figure since colonial times. It has been use by pagans communities, and by religious . In Fact in those countries where the influence of the catholic religion was high you can find angels in different forms and shapes in churches and religious sites ; even in Mexico where is a mixed of religious and pagan communities , the angels are part of their rituals and they make them look as a craftsmanship despoiling them of the strict religious approach and the saintliness and perfect proportions that is how they use to paint or sculpted them.
This small angel is made of bronze and it is very well proportionate it is a source of inspiration because is pretty. It has a sweet expression , it looks very relaxed, it is reading

1 week - Digital Layout- Aparicio
The miniatures of objects that are used in real life are attractive and look great as design objects. This chair is of bronze, it is heavy but despite that looks comfortable and very close to how they are in real life. The chair is comfortable and invite anyone to sit down and rest. Is neither contemporary, nor modern but always fashionable for its comfortable attributes.
This chair permits to use different materials and colors. They can go from leather to cotton and from red to silver. The way to make it stylish is to put different colors and materials on it. Also is the chair that can bring memories to you because it look similar to the chair that the grandfather use to sit.

Art in the Keys
This is a piece of work that is on a corner in Key West. It caught my eye just being a headless and armless body. Upon closer exploration I saw that it is a bunch of metal items welded together. The idea of a 3D collage of something is an object that you can sit and try and figure out what it is made of.

This is my final of the 99 drawings.
I have chosen the word shell, and combined 2 of my images together.
There is a double meaning to this, not only is there the shell that is easily recognized by everyone, but there is also a shell that takes a little bit of a deep thought to find.
The mans body is a shell of his organs, and his clothes are a shell to his body, which is a shell to his organs.
I used acrylic paint, and a litttttle bit of colored pencils.
On Bristol paper.

Form and Space #2 entry
I decided to pick this object because i thought that it looked like an interesting way to design a hook and it gave it some personality to it that most hooks do not have. I like how on the 3-dimensional object that the top of it comes forward as do the bottom of it do too. I think that with the object being formed like that it gave it the appearance of a less sharp, hard feel to it, like most hooks have. Another reason why i like this object is because of the hearts on it. When you look at the top heart and then look at the bottom of the hook you can see where another heart is but is not all the way complete. It looks like a half of a heart which is the hook. The main reason why i chose this object though is because of how this 3-dimensional object make your eyes move. When you look at the top your eyes just can not stop from moving down to the bottom. It just flows together well.
Form and Space #2 entry
When you first look at this object you are not quite sure of what it is. It is a chair that was sewed together and sprayed with a sealer to make it solid so that someone could sit on it. I think that this object it interesting because of how it is a chair but it has no hard edges on it like a normal chair does. I like how with this 3- dimensional object you can see through it. And how the texture of the chair makes it (in my mind) have a more visual effect of being 3-dimensional. This object makes me think of my grandma and new age modern ideas coming together. It is like something a young person would make in remembrance of their grandma or something like that. I personal like this object so much that it makes me want to sit in it right now and see if it can rock side to side and feel on the texture. I wonder if it feels soft or if it is hard. That would be so cool if it was like cooshie and soft like a blanket and still be able to hold its form.
