Time To Spare

Free time? What's that?
Anyways, the second week of this quarter is going well (except for some stuck-up little rich kid who doesn't know any better). But hey, God loves us all, right?
Does Todd even read these?
Well, back to my homework.

Peace out.

This isn't a "Finds" post, I came across this and just thought it was interesting and informative.

Japanese Candy Package

I'm not sure how "protective" of the product this is, but it's definitely simple and beautiful. I would want to buy it just based on the eye appeal, which is most likely its point.

BK box

I think this is the most interesting fast food package I’ve ever come across. Apparently it was designed by Sean John, though I’m curious who the designer actually was – I doubt P. Diddy (or whatever he’s going by these days; I’m so un-cool) actually sat down and worked this out. This box is designed for the strangely named but admittedly yummy chicken fries at Burger King. The color is unusual, and definitely makes you look twice – usually fast food packaging is white paper or cardboard. Often restaurants use appetite-inducing red and yellow colors. BK was advertising their new late-night hours at the time, and I think this works better than simply slapping the new hours on the usual packaging. The box is an interesting design in itself. When you open the lid you see a nifty little pop-out flap that creates a niche to hold your choice of dipping sauce (in this case, barbeque). This way you don’t have to balance your sauce on your dashboard, lap, or friend’s head to eat. I think it works really well.

Package Design - week 2

U’LUVKA vodka
Starting with the bottle itself, it is a very organic shape. The format of the bottle allows one to be able to hold it without being afraid that it might fall. The bottle is very simple, it does not have many designs on the glass like the bottle of Grey Goose or the bottle of 3 Olives but it still very attractive bottle. It does give you the impression of high quality vodka because of the simplicity of the design on the glass.
The box has more designs on it that are very interesting and well elaborated. I like the way the design floats all around the box but they are very light. I believe this box does protect what it is in the inside, it is easy to handle, and easy for storage. On the other hand, I do not think this box would stand out in a store among other vodka brands. I do not think that box would catch my eyes attention like other lighter boxes. Maybe the design should be a brighter white.

RAPID VISUALIZATION// STONER

STONER WITH BELLY BUTTON TROPHY... lol.

Beach

In class we played a game called pictionary and with all the words that we came across we had to use 5 of them to make a sentence or frase. With this frase we had to illatrate it. Mine was a TROLL was riding a UNICYCLE on top of a FERISWHEEL holding a GERMAN MONKEY. I just thought that this was a cute illatration and I had fun drawing it.
